Family and projects

Took a family picture on Mother's Day. Not professional, but it will do.

Skype with my family in California. That was so much fun, and the highlight of my Mother's Day. Thanks, everyone.

Printed off some new customized pictures for my family room. I am trying to turn it into a beach retreat family room. I miss the beach so I have to bring it in my home.

Made a blanket for Cheryl, she picked out the fabric. She loves to be in bed now.

Cheryl has bangs now. Courtesy of Me, I am not a hairstylist and so it is the best I could do. Her hair just wouldn't comb back, so I made bangs.
I thought this picture was funny. June looks like she is singing a song.

Mother's Day was a lot of fun. Love all the Mother's in my life. Thank you all who made it special. Thanks, Babe.

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). So, with my IPhone in hand and all those excuses that I created I threw them out the window and decided to STEP UP and be the mom she wants and needs. We made the first video in 2017 and she loved it so much. We got busy and made more excuses. June didn't give up though. She wanted to do another video. So, on a school night I wanted to make banana bread and decided that we are already making it, so I might as well let June make it and film it. June loves to cook and watching her video's. I love her so much and I want her to do the things that she loves to do, so, I will continue to not ma...

Homemade

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. While I was visiting my parents in California I went to a Relief Society Birthday Party in there ward and that is where I got the great idea of making laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from the sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too. It calls for: 1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap 2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax 2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. I just wanted to share my money saving idea. XOXO-Erin

Homemade Diaper Bag

I finally made a diaper bag for myself to replace the nasty old one I had. I am so far loving it a ton. I went from a pattern at first then scraped it and did my own design. I am happy with the result and now I am contemplating on making more and selling them. XOXO-Erin
