Homemade

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. While I was visiting my parents in California I went to a Relief Society Birthday Party in there ward and that is where I got the great idea of making laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from the sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too. It calls for: 1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap 2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax 2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. I just wanted to share my money saving idea. XOXO-Erin

We are having...

A GIRL! Yep that's right we are having another girl. We went and had the Ultrasound and I looked between the legs and I knew what I was looking for this time and I saw the same thing that I saw with Cheryl. So, I knew before the Ultrasound tech told me that it was a girl. This time around Nathan and Cheryl were able to be there and we all found out together and that was a lot of fun. Yippee, I will save money on lots of things...clothes and blankets and everything else that we have that is girl. We are so happy to have another daughter, and can't wait to meet her and her personality. XOXO-Erin

FIrst Pregers Picture

Okay I really didn't want to take pictures this time around, but Nathan talked me into it. I guess I should give this pregnancy the same treatment as the first one. So, here you go this is what I look like at 18 weeks, 4 1/2 months pregnant. I really haven't been too sick at all. I have my days of being nauseous and then I just have to rest and eat and I am okay. I am getting more tired these days. Just can't do twenty things in one day anymore. I have been craving crazy foods too..I would like to eat a onion like a apple, and would really like to eat some tires...yes tires...they sound really yummy and smell really good. I want fruit and veggies and not much else. I don't really want hamburger, it sounds gross but I can actually eat it and have no problem. The image of raw meat makes me sick. And just like the first pregnancy I am craving steak...every day all day, Yum. So, far having a toddler and being pregant isn't too bad. Next Friday I will find out what we ar

Easter 2010

For Easter this year we were able to watch the LDS General Conference on T.V. It was inspiring and full of wonderful messages. We also had Pot Roast for dinner...yum. After that we put some plastic eggs around the family room and had Cheryl pick them up and put them in her cute little felt Easter basket. She actually did a great job. It made me think of other things that she could help me pick up. Specially the larger I get. All in all we had a great day. Eating, spending time with my handsome hubby and watching T.V. My three favorite things to do. Sorry about the long video, but I thought is was cute. XOXO-Erin
