Christmas 2011!

Christmas this year was very interesting. On the 22nd I had surgery on my nose, and that is why I am not in any picture. All I could do was sit on the couch and take pictures...and I could hardly see so the pictures aren't that great. I thought that just my Mom was coming out to help watch the girls while I was out of it, but she didn't come alone. Surprise, surprise, my Dad, Cameron my brother, his wife Vivian and my nephew Derek (that I had never met), showed up at the door and said they were staying for Christmas. That was the best Christmas gift I could ever have. Now that surgery wasn't that bad....because I had family out. Although, I was out of it and still can't remember half of what happened, it was so good to have them out. Thank you, Thank you for coming and that you were able to. To the rest of my family who couldn't come, I miss you and can't wait to see you too. Christmas Eve we read the birth of Christ in Luke 2 and sang lots of Christmas songs, while Cheryl did a great job of leading the music. Then Santa came. Christmas day was so fun, we woke up and I started taking a video first while the girls were walking down the stairs. So, I will put that video on here soon. I sat on the couch as the girls and Nathan opened all the presents. They were so cute, and they loved everything they got. Thanks for all the gifts.  I am not really sure what we did that day, other than play with the presents. A couple days later we got more gifts from Aunt Angela and cousin Jacob, the girls love the fun blankets. All in all Christmas was pretty great. Thanks all who made it special.

2 Years Old, Really?!

So, our little girl Cheryl Love turned 2 on January 5th! We actually have a 2 year old. Wow. It was so much fun. Cheryl loves monkey's and her new favorite movie is Jungle Book (if I let her she would watch it all day), so we decided to do a monkey themed birthday party. We had vines hanging from the ceiling and I even made a monkey cake. We had Bonnie my cousin and her daughters, Shaylee and Brooke and my cousin Adriann and her daughter Ivy and of course me, Nathan, CHERYL, and June. Plenty of people and poor Nathan the only boy. Oh well whats ya gonna do, huh? We had so much fun. We ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches(sorry Joi), and frozen banana Popsicles dipped in yogurt and they were really good. It is one of Cheryl's favorite snacks and healthy too. We played pin the banana on the monkey, without the blindfold. And of course ate cake and opened presents. Thanks to all who gave to Cheryl. Cheryl now has a big girl bed that she adores and loves to be in. Whew, I was so worried that...

Eternal Role

Today's Family: The Eternal Role of Mothers click on link to read the article http://www.lds.org/study/prophets-speak-today/unto-all-the-world/the-eternal-role-of-mothers?lang=eng I love this paragraph about mothers. "Among the most important roles of a mother is the call to nurture, Elder Ballard says. “A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their pre-mortal existence,” he declares. “Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us.”" "Mommy, I love you!", Cheryl says as she wakes me up at 6:30 in the morning. "I love you too, honey", I say, as I hug her tight and never want to let her go. I will take those moments any chance I get, whether it's 6:30 in the morning or in the middle of the night while I am sick and holding my sick child. I have never felt that I truly found my...

Does anyone have a trank gun!

Sometimes I feel like a toddler, discovering my belly button for the first time. My belly button is so unrecognizable now. The only problem I am finding about being pregnant is all the body changes. I mean, weight! Being thin for 28 years then ballooning up in a matter of months has really scared me. I know, I know, everyone says that I will loose it all very quickly, but I still don't like it. At church I looked down at my feet and ankles and realized that I no longer have any ankles...they have morphed into cankles...Yuk! I was so discussed that I almost threw up. I wish I was one of those women who don't gain hardly anything and don't really look like they are pregnant until they give birth. Okay, enough of poor me! It's not hard to remind myself that I am pregnant though...I can't go an hour without her kicking me. There is life in there...I am so happy whenever I can feel her. I am happy really easily...just give me chips or ice cream and I am fine. Which isn...
