what's ya been doin?

Well, we have been busy here. On November 7th we blessed June in church. We had lots of people over and they came over after the blessing for a luncheon. Thanks to all that came, it was good to see all of you. Cheryl is very attached to Grandpa Campbell and as soon as he went up to help with the blessing she started screaming. Thank you Aunt Vivian for taking her out so I could hear the rest of the blessing. Good job honey the blessing was beautiful. Also, a week before I delivered June, Cheryl got croup. Last week a day after the blessing, she just got it again. So, I have been busy taking care of Cheryl and keeping her away from June(which bytheway, is really hard to keep a toddler away from a baby). I will show pictures soon. Congrats to my little sister Heather, she is pregnant with her 4th baby and it's a boy. Yeah! Just as a side not...the weather is getting cold and I love it. I love having four seasons..and bundling up. Anyway, busy busy gotta go.

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). So, with my IPhone in hand and all those excuses that I created I threw them out the window and decided to STEP UP and be the mom she wants and needs. We made the first video in 2017 and she loved it so much. We got busy and made more excuses. June didn't give up though. She wanted to do another video. So, on a school night I wanted to make banana bread and decided that we are already making it, so I might as well let June make it and film it. June loves to cook and watching her video's. I love her so much and I want her to do the things that she loves to do, so, I will continue to not ma...

Homemade

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. While I was visiting my parents in California I went to a Relief Society Birthday Party in there ward and that is where I got the great idea of making laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from the sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too. It calls for: 1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap 2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax 2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. I just wanted to share my money saving idea. XOXO-Erin

Homemade Diaper Bag

I finally made a diaper bag for myself to replace the nasty old one I had. I am so far loving it a ton. I went from a pattern at first then scraped it and did my own design. I am happy with the result and now I am contemplating on making more and selling them. XOXO-Erin
