Rainy Day and Chicken Soup


It was a fall day today, rainy and cold. So, I decided to make some Chicken Soup. Yummy. I made about 10 cans of soup. They are in 5 large Tupperware containers. I have made homemade soup before but not that much. I might make it a yearly thing. I am always trying to come up with ways to make dinner without making it that day. So now we have soup for many meals. As long as we don't get sick of it.

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. Homemade

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. While I was visiting my parents in California I went to a Relief Society Birthday Party in there ward and that is where I got the great idea of making laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from the sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too. It calls for: 1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap 2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax 2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. I just wanted to share my money saving idea. XOXO-Erin

Homemade Diaper Bag

I finally made a diaper bag for myself to replace the nasty old one I had. I am so far loving it a ton. I went from a pattern at first then scraped it and did my own design. I am happy with the result and now I am contemplating on making more and selling them. XOXO-Erin
