Cheryl and I went to Idaho last week for the Gardner Family Reunion. We drove up with my parents and Vivian my sister in law. All the people in our cabin was, Heather, my sis, and her husband Danny, and there cute kids, Daniel, Natalie and Matthew. Vivian and Cameron, my bro and sis in law. My Parents, Robbe and Christine. And last but not least my and Cheryl. It was a lot of fun being all together. Every day we did so many things...We went to Bear World, very cool. Those bears are big. We went to Idaho Falls, and Rexburg Temples. We went to Yellowstone....such a huge park. Saw Old Faithful the non-faithful geyser. We had a BBQ at Uncle Richard's house in Rexburg. Rode horses there, picked eggs from chickens, and jumped on trampoline. Of course we shopped till we dropped (or at least got pooped on by my daughter). Went to the IMAX theater in west Yellowstone. We had all kinds of good food. Vivian and I split a 1 pound burger...yumm. All of our meals were themed, Happy Birthday, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's. It was a lot of fun to spend all the holiday's with the family. We played phase ten and other fun games almost every night and sang a lot, in the truck while driving a ton. Cheryl loved being outside. And the bugs didn't bit to much. Heather and I went on the river in her new kayak. I was so peaceful and beautiful up there. Cheryl smiled at everyone and was happy and sweet to everyone. She got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa a lot. Thanks Mom and Dad for the great vacation. We had a blast. We should really do it again...but next time at the beach.
XOXO-Erin

2 Years Old, Really?!

So, our little girl Cheryl Love turned 2 on January 5th! We actually have a 2 year old. Wow. It was so much fun. Cheryl loves monkey's and her new favorite movie is Jungle Book (if I let her she would watch it all day), so we decided to do a monkey themed birthday party. We had vines hanging from the ceiling and I even made a monkey cake. We had Bonnie my cousin and her daughters, Shaylee and Brooke and my cousin Adriann and her daughter Ivy and of course me, Nathan, CHERYL, and June. Plenty of people and poor Nathan the only boy. Oh well whats ya gonna do, huh? We had so much fun. We ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches(sorry Joi), and frozen banana Popsicles dipped in yogurt and they were really good. It is one of Cheryl's favorite snacks and healthy too. We played pin the banana on the monkey, without the blindfold. And of course ate cake and opened presents. Thanks to all who gave to Cheryl. Cheryl now has a big girl bed that she adores and loves to be in. Whew, I was so worried that...

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). So, with my IPhone in hand and all those excuses that I created I threw them out the window and decided to STEP UP and be the mom she wants and needs. We made the first video in 2017 and she loved it so much. We got busy and made more excuses. June didn't give up though. She wanted to do another video. So, on a school night I wanted to make banana bread and decided that we are already making it, so I might as well let June make it and film it. June loves to cook and watching her video's. I love her so much and I want her to do the things that she loves to do, so, I will continue to not ma...

Eternal Role

Today's Family: The Eternal Role of Mothers click on link to read the article http://www.lds.org/study/prophets-speak-today/unto-all-the-world/the-eternal-role-of-mothers?lang=eng I love this paragraph about mothers. "Among the most important roles of a mother is the call to nurture, Elder Ballard says. “A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their pre-mortal existence,” he declares. “Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us.”" "Mommy, I love you!", Cheryl says as she wakes me up at 6:30 in the morning. "I love you too, honey", I say, as I hug her tight and never want to let her go. I will take those moments any chance I get, whether it's 6:30 in the morning or in the middle of the night while I am sick and holding my sick child. I have never felt that I truly found my...
