Car Seat Strap Protector

Today I made some Car Seat Strap Protector's for my daughter. I got the idea from my sister, Heather...Thanks. It was so easy to make that I wanted to share. I am out of my sewing machine this week, so I tried making this without it. I found this cool no-sew stuff and wanted to try it out. For this project all you need is, fabric, an Iron, Batting, Velcro, and either a sewing machine or no-sew iron on adhesive. If I had my sewing machine I would probably like to use that instead of the no sew stuff. It worked just fine, it just took a lot longer to iron on than it would take to sew it together.
First I cut out some scrap fabric into 7 by 7 inch pieces. Then I got the Iron out. Ironed the edges, placed a thin piece of scrap batting(you can always use extra fabric if you don't have any batting). Ironed on the edges of the no-sew pieces except for one side which will be covered by Velcro so you don't need to bother with that one side. Iron all fabric together. Use the directions from the no-sew container. Put the Velcro on and you are just about done. All you need to do it put it on your car seat and there you have it. Just repeat the same thing for another one. Now my daughter's neck is protected from the straps.
Any questions, let me know. I am happy to help.
XOXO-Erin

January 5th, 2009!

Cheryl Love Christopherson was born on 01-05-09, weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces, and 18 inches long. Happy Birthday, we love you! We went to the hospital at 2a.m. Monday morning to be induced for labor, they gave me Patocin to get it going...I was already dilated to 3 centimeters at that time. At around 11 or so I received the wonderful Epidural, Yeah! I still was not progressing, and next thing we knew Cheryl was not handling the contractions very well. They had to turn the Patocin off and turned the Epidural off...because I couldn't feel my legs at all. The doctor said if we don't progress and the contractions keep bugging the baby then we would have to do a C-section. Great! I thought...get this over with already....I don't care how! Well, I didn't have to have a C-section after all and by 5 p.m. I was finally in full dilation. Witch meant...Time to push, I pushed for 2 hours and there she was, a beautiful little girl at 7:18 p.m. What a long day, to say the least! Ther...

June Elise one month old, really?

The first month has come and gone. WOW, it was all a blur. Having a newborn, a 21 month old, a husband that works 6 days a week(leaving me 2 to 3 days at a time), now having only one car to drive(which Nathan takes to work, because I am not driving my kids to drop Daddy off at 2 in the morning), basically on only 4 hours a sleep in a 24 hour period, and trying this whole breastfeeding thing are only a few things I have had to endure this past month. So, if you are wondering where I have been this past month, I am in crazy town, going bonkers. I am in love with my new precious addition, June. Other then her baby acne and cradle cap, she is beautiful. She is such a good baby. Not a big crier like my first born. She grunts a lot though and it's funny. Cheryl is so wonderful with her. She has her moments that she acts like a true two year old but she is pretty great. I am going to start a new venture with her now. I want to start potty training her...I think. She also took a nose drive...

What is happening to my Body!?

No one told me that I would turn into a Porn Star. My boobs were always very big. It runs in my family. I just didn't expect them to be this big. I have already had to change sizes and it looks like I need to change another size. I weighted them on a scale and they are each 5 pounds...that is 10 extra pounds added to my ever growing body. Not only do I have big boobs, but I now fart and burp as much as any guy. So, to feel pretty is kind of out of the question right now. For how many noises I make...it doesn't matter if I actually got a boob job...because that is how I feel. I just didn't have surgery and it looks as if I did. It's not really sexy to be kissing my handsome husband and start farting in the middle of it. I am so disgusting right now. Up until now, I told Nathan that women just don't do those things...because we are lady's right!? Ha, some lady I am right now. I apologize for anyone who takes offense to these things...not every women fart's an...
