Today I made some Car Seat Strap Protector's for my daughter. I got the idea from my sister, Heather...Thanks. It was so easy to make that I wanted to share. I am out of my sewing machine this week, so I tried making this without it. I found this cool no-sew stuff and wanted to try it out. For this project all you need is, fabric, an Iron, Batting, Velcro, and either a sewing machine or no-sew iron on adhesive. If I had my sewing machine I would probably like to use that instead of the no sew stuff. It worked just fine, it just took a lot longer to iron on than it would take to sew it together.
First I cut out some scrap fabric into 7 by 7 inch pieces. Then I got the Iron out. Ironed the edges, placed a thin piece of scrap batting(you can always use extra fabric if you don't have any batting). Ironed on the edges of the no-sew pieces except for one side which will be covered by Velcro so you don't need to bother with that one side. Iron all fabric together. Use the directions from the no-sew container. Put the Velcro on and you are just about done. All you need to do it put it on your car seat and there you have it. Just repeat the same thing for another one. Now my daughter's neck is protected from the straps.
Any questions, let me know. I am happy to help.
XOXO-Erin
