We've Moved...

We moved from North Salt Lake to West Jordan, Utah. It is about 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City. So, we are still close to the big city. So far we love it a lot. Nice neighborhood and I am loving living in a house in a family neighborhood. I thought moving would be tough on the girls but they are doing great. Happy as can be and starting to decorate our new home. Sorry I have been MIA for a little while. I will come back from the dead soon. If anyone wants our address, just email me and I will give it to you.

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). Homemade

I am always trying to find ways to save money wherever I can. So, I decided to make some homemade laundry detergent. While I was visiting my parents in California I went to a Relief Society Birthday Party in there ward and that is where I got the great idea of making laundry detergent. I tried a couple loads from the sample I got and it was great...just like Tide. So, I made a huge batch. And it was super easy too. It calls for: 1 bar Fels-Naptha bar soap 2 cups 20 Mule Team Borax 2 cups Arm & Hammer washing soda You just grate the soap, like you would cheese. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. You only use 2 Tbsp. per load. (tsp. for HE washers) Everything was very inexpensive and much less than I would spend on regular Laundry detergent. I just wanted to share my money saving idea. XOXO-Erin

Homemade Diaper Bag

I finally made a diaper bag for myself to replace the nasty old one I had. I am so far loving it a ton. I went from a pattern at first then scraped it and did my own design. I am happy with the result and now I am contemplating on making more and selling them. XOXO-Erin
