Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was really fun. Grandma and Grandpa Campbell stopped by on the way to Idaho. Cheryl was excited and loves to see them. Nathan read from the scriptures and we watched A Christmas Story and ate cookies. We wrapped presents that night and put together the step stool too. We had homemade hot chocolate and pancakes for breakfast. Then the fun began...we opened the gifts! It was so great to see Cheryl enjoy getting presents now. June was asleep while we let Cheryl open her first gift. The Jesse doll from Toy Story, she loved it so much that she just wanted to play with that and she still wants Jesse with her wherever she goes. It's so cute. We decided to get ready and go out for lunch and then play in the snow. We went to McDonald's for lunch(what a treat, Cheryl loved the play place) and the girls fell asleep on the way to the snow...so we kept driving around and just went home. We didn't get back in time to eat our ham dinner so we decided to go to a Chinese Restaurant like A Christmas Story movie. And I have to say we will never do that again. Nathan and I got really sick the next few days. Luckily Cheryl didn't get sick. All in all we had a super great Christmas. Thanks to all that gave us gifts and cards. We hope all of you had a great Christmas too.
XOXO-Erin

2 Years Old, Really?!

So, our little girl Cheryl Love turned 2 on January 5th! We actually have a 2 year old. Wow. It was so much fun. Cheryl loves monkey's and her new favorite movie is Jungle Book (if I let her she would watch it all day), so we decided to do a monkey themed birthday party. We had vines hanging from the ceiling and I even made a monkey cake. We had Bonnie my cousin and her daughters, Shaylee and Brooke and my cousin Adriann and her daughter Ivy and of course me, Nathan, CHERYL, and June. Plenty of people and poor Nathan the only boy. Oh well whats ya gonna do, huh? We had so much fun. We ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches(sorry Joi), and frozen banana Popsicles dipped in yogurt and they were really good. It is one of Cheryl's favorite snacks and healthy too. We played pin the banana on the monkey, without the blindfold. And of course ate cake and opened presents. Thanks to all who gave to Cheryl. Cheryl now has a big girl bed that she adores and loves to be in. Whew, I was so worried that...

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). So, with my IPhone in hand and all those excuses that I created I threw them out the window and decided to STEP UP and be the mom she wants and needs. We made the first video in 2017 and she loved it so much. We got busy and made more excuses. June didn't give up though. She wanted to do another video. So, on a school night I wanted to make banana bread and decided that we are already making it, so I might as well let June make it and film it. June loves to cook and watching her video's. I love her so much and I want her to do the things that she loves to do, so, I will continue to not ma...

Eternal Role

Today's Family: The Eternal Role of Mothers click on link to read the article http://www.lds.org/study/prophets-speak-today/unto-all-the-world/the-eternal-role-of-mothers?lang=eng I love this paragraph about mothers. "Among the most important roles of a mother is the call to nurture, Elder Ballard says. “A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their pre-mortal existence,” he declares. “Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us.”" "Mommy, I love you!", Cheryl says as she wakes me up at 6:30 in the morning. "I love you too, honey", I say, as I hug her tight and never want to let her go. I will take those moments any chance I get, whether it's 6:30 in the morning or in the middle of the night while I am sick and holding my sick child. I have never felt that I truly found my...
