Updates

Okay I know I haven't posted anything in a while and I am usually on top of these things. Well, I have been super busy trying to get everything semi-ready for this new little girl to arrive. Dr. appointments haven't been that great either. Up until last week the baby was in Breach position, which means she was sideways. She finally turned and now she is not stretching me sideways, but putting pressure on my back. Every time I overdue it...which now, overdoing it means a few things a day...I am in pain majorly. So, I am really trying to take it easy and rest...hard to do when I've got a toddler to chase around. So, just a couple more weeks hopefully. But, the good news is that that baby is in position and I don't have to freak out if I am having a C-section...which still might happen but it's not as likely. Anyway, along with the pregnancy brain that I have...I have been trying to sew and get things done for our baby girl. I have made 20 bibs, personalized big sister and little sister t-shirts, made 2 nursing covers, made car seat canopy cover, made 5 pacifier clips, made a cover for a recycled swing, made a crib rail cover, made a diaper bag and I think that is all. I have so many clothes and blankets that I really didn't have to make any or even buy much for this baby and that was really nice. I love to sew and would love to be sewing all day every day, but I am a mom first so I am putting my sewing machine away for now and can't wait to sew again. I still haven't finished the list of projects that I want to do but I am having a hard time sitting for a long time, so the list will just have to wait. Anyway, this pregnancy is different, I do have more energy, but I am still downing half a bottle of tums every other day. I will keep you posted and take pictures of the things that I sewed. But for now pray for me that the delivery goes well. Thanks.
XOXO-Erin

2 Years Old, Really?!

So, our little girl Cheryl Love turned 2 on January 5th! We actually have a 2 year old. Wow. It was so much fun. Cheryl loves monkey's and her new favorite movie is Jungle Book (if I let her she would watch it all day), so we decided to do a monkey themed birthday party. We had vines hanging from the ceiling and I even made a monkey cake. We had Bonnie my cousin and her daughters, Shaylee and Brooke and my cousin Adriann and her daughter Ivy and of course me, Nathan, CHERYL, and June. Plenty of people and poor Nathan the only boy. Oh well whats ya gonna do, huh? We had so much fun. We ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches(sorry Joi), and frozen banana Popsicles dipped in yogurt and they were really good. It is one of Cheryl's favorite snacks and healthy too. We played pin the banana on the monkey, without the blindfold. And of course ate cake and opened presents. Thanks to all who gave to Cheryl. Cheryl now has a big girl bed that she adores and loves to be in. Whew, I was so worried that...

No Excuses

June's Cooking Show! June always wants to cook and has been begging me to film her cooking. I had a million excuses, but I decided that June didn't care that she was in her jammies. She didn't care that the kitchen had bad lighting. She didn't even care what she made. She just wanted to have her mom film a video of her cooking in the kitchen (like she loves to do with me). So, with my IPhone in hand and all those excuses that I created I threw them out the window and decided to STEP UP and be the mom she wants and needs. We made the first video in 2017 and she loved it so much. We got busy and made more excuses. June didn't give up though. She wanted to do another video. So, on a school night I wanted to make banana bread and decided that we are already making it, so I might as well let June make it and film it. June loves to cook and watching her video's. I love her so much and I want her to do the things that she loves to do, so, I will continue to not ma...

Eternal Role

Today's Family: The Eternal Role of Mothers click on link to read the article http://www.lds.org/study/prophets-speak-today/unto-all-the-world/the-eternal-role-of-mothers?lang=eng I love this paragraph about mothers. "Among the most important roles of a mother is the call to nurture, Elder Ballard says. “A mother’s nurturing love arouses in children, from their earliest days on earth, an awakening of the memories of love and goodness they experienced in their pre-mortal existence,” he declares. “Because our mothers love us, we learn, or more accurately remember, that God also loves us.”" "Mommy, I love you!", Cheryl says as she wakes me up at 6:30 in the morning. "I love you too, honey", I say, as I hug her tight and never want to let her go. I will take those moments any chance I get, whether it's 6:30 in the morning or in the middle of the night while I am sick and holding my sick child. I have never felt that I truly found my...
